The new OP is fucking awesome. It’s still the same song, though Colors is a great song, but the images are all so epic and sploilertastic, like any great Sunrise OP. I can’t wait to see Karen get her atomic explosion mecha. Should you really give her the really expensive mecha? I mean those things don’t last long in her hands. Speaking of hands, whats with the like 20 seconds of a hand just waving around in the OP? What is that suppose to mean? Two other things I can’t wait for: group of Sutherlands waiting for the attack (lol Zaku corps) and Lancelot setting a lot of things on fire. It’s gonna be epic I tell ya!

Code GreatAss strikes again.

The meat of this episode was on Karen and her background (and back end). And I have to say, her life sucks. Her mother is a maid who slept with her boss, is hooked on drugs, and just when Karen decides she loves Mom again, she gets sent to prison for 20 years! No wonder the girl’s all messed up. Though I find it funny that she can kill people so easily, I mean she’s shooting at people as they run away in a mecha. That’s cold. And I don’t think Karen’s gonna find any help from Lelouch soon. He’s either deliberately being mean to make Karen not suspect he’s Zero, or he’s just an idiot. More of the later I believe. I vote for a Millay x Karen pairing to set things straight.

Back to Lelouch, I now firmly believe he is gay or blind or both. Shirley was right in the middle of asking him out when all he can do is throw a hissy fit about Suzaku leaving him. Goddamn Lelouch your so dense it’s painful to ME! For someone so smart is it that hard to realize when a girl wants in your pants? Why do Sunrise guy’s have to be so dumb when surrounded by hot women? Good thing Karen managed to slap him. The guy deserves it.

Looks like someone needs a Glass of the Gods.

Miscellany: Why do the Japanese need a drug that gives them flashbacks? How do people living in a ghetto afford that stuff? Why did Sunrise steal the concept of a flashback drug from Hyperion, where it was cleverly enough called Flashback? Were not going to see this drug mentioned again, aren’t we? When the hell am I going to hear Jouji Nakata’s sexy voice again? Why doesn’t Millay and her lesbiantastic catsuit ways get more screentime? Does Racist-chan *gasp* like Euphie now? Sunrise: ambigiously gay relationships since 1995.

If only Lelouch was like this in the show.

My priorities are really messed up. I loved the scene between Karen and her Mom and the mecha. It was actually moving to me. But I can’t help but make fun of Code Geass. Maybe this is the Sunrise Effect? The uncontrollable urge to mock any Sunrise production, no matter how good it is. I’ll have to study this further.
