Thoughts on Code Geass 20
You know, I think Euphemia stumbled upon the best way to confess to someone your love that you didn’t even know about five minutes earlier: in the heat of battle. Cause, to be honest, who doesn’t think about love in battle? What else are you supposed to do? Focus on not dying? Please, that’s too depressing. So now I guess Suzaku and Euphemia are together. Can I call them the most naive and stupid couple ever? This whole thing feels forced, which it probably is. Though, I don’t think it’s really going to last. The point will come where both Suzaku’s and Euphemia’s ideals are destroyed in some form, and preferably their romance with it. There are a lot of Gundam Seed parallels in Code Geass so far, but I’m not about to label them another Kira and Lacus. There is one good thing that could come out of this: Nina’s reaction. Euphemia basically realized she liked Suzaku from Nina and then promptly left Nina to confess to Suzaku. I’m sure Nina feels great. She just chased the object of her forbidden affections into the arms of a man. And I had to laugh at the police beating up Nina. Everybody hates Racist-tan it seems. And Suzaku and Lelouch fighting together was the most corny battle ever. That background music was just terrible.

Real men get their woman to pilot their overpowered mecha.
In other miscellaneous stuff: mecha pilot C.C. is awesome. The new outfit is hawt and fits perfectly, in a C.C. kind of way. I found her comment on how Suzaku has no strategy and just rushes in highly amusing. Lelouch meanwhile has decided to make an independant country in Tokyo. A very bold plan there. Can’t wait to see how he screws it up. Lets admit it, even if Lelouch is brilliant he makes a ton of dumb mistakes. Shirley has somewhat regained her memory and knows, or suspects, that Lelouch is Zero once again. It’ll be interesting when she drops that particular bombshell. My personal theory is that by the end of this season so much shit will have gone down that Lelouch won’t care who knows his identity and openly act as Zero. Finally, I’m really liking the little rivalry that is going on between Lloyd and Laksharta. Lloyd looked like he was going insane when he saw the hadron cannons perfected, and Laksharta wasn’t too happy to see she didn’t get the float system first. It’s like the ultimate nerd fight. Next week promises to be a light-hearted episode about the school festival and pizza, though there is supposed to be a ” shocking ” announcement at the end. Take that as you may.

Oh shi-! Police brutality! Someone get the NAACP and Jesse Jackson on the line stat!
