Thoughts on Code Geass 21
Code Geass takes a break from political intrigue and campy melodrama to bring us some school festival fun! Cause there’s nothing better than seeing your favorite characters running around doing stupid shit. Unless it’s Cecile, who looks incredibly cute knocking guys out with a hammer. All in all it was a pretty fun episode, with the usual ‘ Will they find out his identity? Will they find out her identity? Will they find out my identity? ‘ cliche’s. Not to say this episode failed from a plot standpoint. There was plenty of plot in there, with a pretty nice cliff-hanger too. Time for me to go over it all with a fine-toothed comb and see what wild speculations I can come up with.

Take me to your freshly baked pizza.
Oh god, it’s Orange-kun! Ok, had to get that out of the way. At least we know he’s alive and, well, hibernating in orange juice. It will just be a matter of time before he comes out all mutated to kill everyone. Or die a measly death. C.C. was irresistibly cute the whole episode. She truly is an addict with her drug of choice being that always delicious fresh baked crust. I find it awesome how she’ll just go outside and demand people for pizza. She didn’t even know it was Lelouch when she first talked to him! Diethard continues to work in the background, acting as Zero’s second-in-command while basically using Sayoko to spy on him. He says all he wants to do is watch Zero, but I can’t help but think he has ulterior motives. Or maybe it’s because I rewatched Gankutsuou and keep thinking of Diethard as The Count. A little of both I guess. I can’t wait to see Lelouch’s reaction when he reveals Sayoko as a spy the whole time. More emo face contortions from Lelouch are always fun. On another small note, Shirley seems to want to talk to Lelouch about something very urgently. His real identity perhaps? I doubt she really thinks Lelouch is Zero, but that’s not going to stop her from asking. Hopefully we’ll see that before the end of the season.

In Sunrise world, sunglasses=best disguise evar. No way will people notice your distinctly colored hair or ultra short and hip-hugging miniskirt. Have some decency Princess.
Ogi and Viletta make a great couple, probably the only believable and healthy couple in all of CG, aside from the whole amnesia thing. Ogi looks to be trying to get Viletta’s memories back, but is that really a great idea? Does he know she’s a britannian? I don’t know if it’s obvious or not or if she told him before she fainted. It’s going to be a sad day when Viletta does get her memory back, and it is going to happen. I only hope there will be some lingering feeling for Ogi, hopefully enough for her not to kill him. Or maybe we’ll have an epic Ogi vs. Orange battle for Viletta’s hand. Who cares about Lelouch vs. Suzaku? Let’s watch some real men fight. Euphiemia continues to show her stupidity in creating a new special administration area. ” As long as we call them Japanese, all the racism and discrimination of a decade disappear, right? ” Well, at least I know that this will go terribly wrong for her, *massive spoilers* not only with a massacre but also her death at Lulu’s hands according to the latest spoiler *massive spoilers*. Suzaku’s reaction to all this will be critical in these later episodes, as the true battle between him and Lulu heats up.
Right now I don’t know if this season is going to end on a cliff-hanger, but I want it to go something like this: Nunnally is somehow killed, either through Lulu’s actions or others, causing Lulu to go insane and order the destruction of everything. Or at least kill Cornelia. Everything going to hell is the only way season 1 can really end I think. Nunnally might live, but I can’t see her living the whole series. Her role as motivation for Lulu is key and she has to die for him really to become a villian and go after the Emporer. I’ll just have to wait and see what these final episodes bring I guess. Still have no idea when 24 and 25 are airing.
