Lucky Channel is slowly getting old. Those who say “it’s the most funny part of the show” need to be shot, behind each kneecap.

It’s Chijou no Hoshi from Project X ~The Challengers~. Animelyrics.tv has the lyrics. I only recognized it because I was familiar with the DJ Sharpnel version.

The name of the song is 地上の星 sung by Nagajima Miyuki. It is the openning of a documentary named “Project X”.

The song is 地上の星 (Chijō no Hoshi) by Miyuki Nakajima. There are some vids on youtube of her performances.

The song is 地上の星 (”‘Chijo no Hoshi”), which is literally “Earth’s Stars”, and I’ve read translated as “Stars on Earth”. It’s apparently by singer-songwriter Nakajima Miyuki.

It’s the opening for NHK’s “Project X” documentary series. Apparently the song and series is a hit with primarily the middle-age crowd I’d imagine it’s aimed at.

I have yet to find any good English-language information on Project X.
Personally, while I think the song fit Miyuki (er, Lucky Star’s Miyuki) very well, the performance just didn’t mesh with the character voice.

@Owen:Eh, I find it funny. Certainly provides more laughs than the actual series. It’s really more slice-of-life than comedy now. The only thing I actually laughed at was Konata’s dead trying to call her. Tsukasa and her cell phone did get a “Man, that’s cute,” commment from me, though.
@Gatekeeper, Fortman, ChrnoX10A, and Mac: Wow, what an enormous response. Thanks for the info. Not the kind of show I was thinking of. I thought if might of been from Saint Seiya with all the references and stuff. Obviously, I’ve never watched Saint Seiya. Project X, huh? What a random show to include an OP of.

Well, the Lucky Channel part’s milking a huge part of the lulz from Akira being yandere, and that’s getting tiring. The rest of the show’s fine though, as always.
And Tsukasa’s facial expressions were soooo familiar. It’s like I’d seen them somewhere before.
