So Wrong
Anyone else think that the placement of that censor sign is a little…odd? Amazing how a relatively innocent scene can be changed entirely by a pink-haired gnome. Ruined for marriage indeed.
Oh yeah, nothing wrong with this in a children’s anime. I wonder if the fact that Hayate’s a guy makes it okay? Or perhaps all the more disturbing. A trap is fine, too (under censorship laws).

Haha oh yeah that scene was soo wrong. I could only stare in disbelief when I watched the episode and the censoring only made it worse. It was hilarious though. :p

That’s what I said in my review too! It came really close to be just creepy as opposed to funny. I think they were trying to comment on exactly the way moe-type characters but yeah, that shot, the narrator, and Hayate himself (”we can’t show this in an anime!”) didn’t help at all.
It was still a really hilarious episode, though. I can’t wait for them to take on more anime cliches.
