simon is more confident without so much the madness in the prologue, like how kamina was, and not seeing nia or yoko or anyone else there makes me suspicious of another death...</description>

		<description>Did you notice how in the group shot at the beginning of the revised opening, Nia isn't there? She is in the group shot at the end of the opening, in the slot where Kamina was.

Interestingly enough, in the prologue the grown-up Simon also says, as he orders the attack in space, "Who do you suppose I am?" Will this be in memory of Nia, or is Nia leading the enemy.

It's also very interesting to watch the prologue again very carefully - the madness that Simon shows in episode 9 is there in the prologue.

I'm beginning to suspect that Gainax deliberately "lulled" us into expecting Gurren Lagann to be a kid's adventure series, and it will instead continue with the serious story that we've seen in episodes 8 and 9.</description>
