Subaru loev Nanoha’s coat.

Now the moment we’ve all been waiting for: transformations! Time to see every woman/girl/loli stripped naked and gain a color appropiate outfit. Some are great, some are okay, some, ok one, are highly discomforting. Let’s look at them all:

First is the sexy Fate-chan, showing off for the first time her bountiful assets, which I’m sure Nanoha has already seen. Take note of the black Lingerie with purple imprint and the perfect Zettai Ryouiki.

Still funny how Nanoha’s transformation is all girlish, despite the fact she’s a twenty-year-old woman. That’s some rockin’ Zettai Ryouiki though. And her using beamspamz to shoot all those robots out of the sky was great. Classic Nanoha is back in action.

BUILD UP! FINAL FUSION!

I’ve already said how awesome Gaogaigar-tan’s transformation is. Her actual music isn’t as inspiring as the Gaogaigar soundtrack, but it reminds me of what the themes of old super robot shows from the seventies would sound like, so the theme is still there. I like how she insisted Mach Caliber had a heart, to which he/she/it reluctantly agreed to. Mach Caliber is a tsundere the whole way. Must of put some of Tiana’s personality into it.

Chow Yun Fat + Mai Tokiha = Teana

Why was Teana’s transformation the only one where all we saw was reflected through Cross Mirage? It was alright, music was okay. The part with Cross Mirage card form turning into a gun was pretty cool though. Another girl showing the Zettai Ryouiki love.

Nagi Springfield + Sanger Zonvolt = Erio

While still desperately in need of a pair of pants, I’ll admit that he looks badass. So far Erio has proved himself the most capable male in the Nanoha universe. He actually fights, unlike Chrono who spent most of his time lounging around the Ashura. He’s gained the affection of one of the few straight girls in existence and is actually developing the relationship. Take that Yuuno! Also, his transformation music is the best out of them all.

There are really no shots of Caro’s transformation I feel comfortable posting. At all. Though, I find her final pose cute in a “I’m gonna beat the shit out of you, nasty tentacle-robot!” kind of way. I like how this episode developed her character, with her being a dragon summoner and feared for it. Then there’s the “Caro loev Erio” angle worked in. Finally, Fried evolves into Friedliche and burns up everything. Fate acting all tenderly with Caro was also cute. I really like the way they’re handling the Caro X Erio relationship. Obviously the producers mean for this to be something more serious, but right now it’s just a childhood crush. It’s actually very sweet to watch.

Ok, enough with the mushy romance, finally StrikerS gives us some solid action. Seeing Nanoha and Fate take down those robots was a great “fuck yeah!” moment. I was also reminded that someone needs to make a Nanoha shooter game like Ace Combat. It’d be awesome. More Subaru kicking ass is good, especially with more Broken Phantom. And finally Erio powers up and completely owns the big boss robot. I think there must be something wrong with me if the shota is my favorite character after Gaogaigar-tan.

Why hallo thar evil villian! Hints of the bigger plot show up with this cloaked figure. Seems like he wants to gain control of the new recruits or something. Can’t wait to see his ass kicked. Next episode: Lolion Hammer vs. Broken Phantom!
