Awesomely epic battle this time. Always great to see Gurren-Lagann take out a hundred enemies at once, especially with its own Ideon drill spam. The deaths of Cytomander and Guame were both great. One, because I hate them both, and, two, they were just inventive ways to kill someone. Tackled by the point of the Dai-Gurren? Stabbed in the stomach by the point of Gurren-Lagann’s drill? Both are like using a knife to open a can. Do you have to? No. Is it the manly and hot blooded way to do things? Hell yes.

I also really liked Nia’s appearance this episode. Mostly for reminding me again how incredibly moe she is, with or without long hair. Seriously, Nia is the like the most perfectly engineered moe girl ever, with every aspect of her personality and look designed to appeal to the most male fans. Usually I hate this, but it works with her. Maybe it’s her non-doormat type personality. Or because she’s voiced by Nono. Or maybe a combination of the two.Or then again it’s probably Nono.

I can’t wait for next week’s epic battle. Just seeing Teppelin start to slowly transform was orgasmic. It’s really has an apocalyptic feel to it, and this is just episode 15! There’s also going to be the showdown between Simon and the Helix King. I’m really curious to see who the Helix King is and if we find out what he told Viral. Hell, I hope Viral appears period. Here’s to whatever next week brings.
