Tomoyo’s Dating a Retarded Person
Brain death is the new moe. You kind of wonder sometimes how these people get through the rigorous high school system of Japan, or, even better, how did there develop a sizeable demographic that loves girls with the mentality of a two-year-old? And +9000 awesome points to whoever got the post title’s rather oblique reference to the most recent episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Good show. It’s sad that the whole purpose of this post was for one joke that almost no one will get. Thus is the life of a blogger.

But her outwardly childish behavior might be masking a powerful intellect. Just because she’s socially awkward and has a playful streak doesn’t mean she might not be a genius in disguise. OK, maybe it’s not that likely, but she sure is cute!

Did you mean Tomoya as in the guy, or did you really mean Tomoyo?

She’s the new Ayu.
Small size + Social awkwardness + Moe + wierd habit = funny playful character (who is small)
This Key’s formula

@lol: Tomoyo as in the guy. Though, I cannot rule out Tomoyo the girl being a lesbian yet.
@Avisch: At least Ayu could form complex sentences.

Demian: True. But (to me) the way they run around is exactly the same.

Oh yeah, I’m not denying there’s definately a childish element there. I’m just seeing her as a two-year-old as compared to Ayu, who maybe I would compare to an eight-year -old. Just a random comparison really.

You would think in all the times I read those names I would actually notice the difference. Thanks a lot for pointing that out karasu so I don’t further embarass myself in the future.
