She's one of the best additions to the franchise, and fits perfectly within the mold. StrikerS was disappointing because of Subaru. Or rather, what Subaru represented. She continued pulling the franchise away from its roots. That shift from magical girl to something different is great, and what defines the show, but StrikerS took it too far. It's an inferior show to A's, and really inferior to the first season. (and yes, I watched all of StrikerS) What should have been the best show of the year instead would struggle to make my top 20 of 2007. StrikerS was disappointing, but not because of Vivio. Best artsy show indeed. One of my parents said that it was very existential. StrikerS is proof that a horrible series can have awesome Yuri couples (GINGA X FATE LOL) and incredibly underused side characters.
