One the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: six OH GAWDS YUNO IS MOE!, five ZERO!, four VOLTEKKA!, three PRIMAL SCREAMS OF HOT BLOODED FURY!, two(million) RONs!, and one GIGA DRILL BREAKER!

This is the sixth post in a series as I look at the twelve best anime moments of the year from shows I watched. Key there being watched, as a few of these moments are going to be from some pretty old stuff, but I think they’re damn good enough to talk about at any time. This is probably the best made MAD I have ever seen.

Ok, so I cheated a bit with this one. There really is no one moment of Hidamari Sketch that stands out to me, except maybe something from the pool episode. Instead Hidamari is a bunch of little moments that add up to being a perfect show. It’s quirky slice-of-life with an unique style and material that just soothes the soul. I love every single character; not just because they’re moe, which they insanely are, but also because they’re fun to watch. Who can forget Yuno’s freak out moments, Miyako’s spastic outbursts, or Sae’s barely suppressed sexuality? The incredibly cute voice acting also helped. I can’t wait to see these girls again next year when the new season airs. Hopefully the subbing situation will be better this time.
