So Long, and Thanks for all the GAR
Yep, Saigar guy calls it quits. Easy to see why really, this whole thing had gotten out of hand. Here’s to all the memories, mostly of last year. I don’t really know if Saigar is going to continue on later or not, but if it does, then I’ll be right back here reporting on it. Tradition is tradition after all.

No matter how much he denies it, the deciding factor that led to Saigar’s death was Simon’s loss. lol proxies indeed, however, butthurt GL fan is still butthurt.

I actually managed to see the result of Group H before it all closed. ^^; Was in the middle of posting myself until CJ told me the page changed.

Considering how ridiculous it was getting, this is probably for the best. I can’t really say I’m sorry it’s gone… and I think it’s for the best that it doesn’t come back.
Last year was at least somewhat respectable. This year was horrendous.

So for a guy that did not keep up with the SaiGAR stuff, could you explain to me what happened =P

There was too much cheating, I heard. A little cheating is still Gar because after all Akagi does it. But too much is too much.

Yep, last year’s SaiGAR was pretty fun. This year’s is just…uhh…I think that things went wrong from the very beginning. The entries are pretty much confusing. If SaiGAR is to vote for the manliest man, then why put in tons of female characters? Well, last year’s Nanoha and cabbage were entertaining but what…? Rena? Rika? Cornellia? Kino? (who I consider having more lady-like manner than most of female characters in past 3 years). And although I didn’t watch GL, I knew that Simon should not have lost…
Hope it will come back next year. And please, make a separated tournament for manly girl…

Shame to see it go, but such is life. I suppose it’s hard to run an internet competition that’s such Serious Business and insulate it from unfair play.

Not really surprised to see it turn out this way. Just by looking at the entries you could tell this was a one-way ride to failsville.
