Thoughts on Gundam 00 - 18
Finally an episode of Gundam 00 that actually has thought put into it. The introduction of the Thrones has really been a boon to the series as it forces the main characters to change some. Nene shows just how insane she can be when she attacks a wedding for no reason other than she was annoyed at being forced to work. While it still makes little logical sense for crazy people to be piloting gundams, at least the Trinity siblings’ insanity is being executed well.
Of course the wedding Nene attacked was the one Louise was at, and she not only witnesses her entire family being killed but also loses her left hand. She might also have lost her legs, but it’s hard to tell until anything is explicitly said. The scene where Louise revealed these losses was perfect. It wasn’t overly dramatic but still had a powerful impact, especially with Saji’s reaction. I’m glad the writers didn’t go the cheap route and just kill Louise. The physical wounds of losing limbs and psychological wounds of losing family are much more horrifying than any death, as Gundam 00 finally begins to show the true horror of war in gundam tradition. This is also a lot more interesting from a story standpoint, and it will be interesting to see how Louise changes from all of this, and Saji’s reactions. He has to become involved with the main plot at some point. I also have to commend the writers for actually getting me to care about Louise after seventeen episodes of hating her. Good show.

Fuck Yeah Graham! Kicking reason to the curb!
And Graham Acre is still the greatest character in Gundam 00. Hopefully Billy will reverse engineer that sword and upgrade Graham’s FLAG into some kind of pseudo-Gundam FLAG, so that Graham can kick even more ass. And maybe he’ll need a special helmet to pilot that FLAG, a red helmet perhaps? Sky’s the limit.

This was a good episode. Graham gets some of the success he deserves, Saji has the balls to travel across the world to find Louise, and Louise/Shana/Nagi is deliciously crazy.

Who needs reason you pilot a robot?
The insanity was handled well. Though it was short moment, It really did show that the siblings (or atleast Nena) have no real care for life outside their own.
and the Louise/Saji scene latter half of it was so perfect with the lack of color.
AND YEAH GRAHAM TOOK THE SWORD!

(damn I accidentally cut off my post…continuing)
AND YEAH GRAHAM TOOK THE SWORD! were my exact words. And as soon as saw that I scene I knew I liked the episode. Finally someone accidentally did a bit of damage on those thrones.

One of the finer episodes of Gundam 00. It was a really poignant scene where Louise shows Saji why she can’t wear the ring. God that was sad.

Does that mean we’re getting a cybernetically-altered Graham piloting a red Flag in the name of victory against the accursed gundams anytime soon?
