It’s One Hell of a Way to Go
Shooting down your enemy with a broken laser controlled by a hand held computer that looks like a gun is definitely one of the cooler last attacks. I really like how much more depth was added to Lockon in these last couple of episodes, showing the morally ambiguous, revenge-driven man under the happy-go-lucky Irishman exterior. Kind of wish they’d have focused on that more earlier, but you get what you get. My only hope now is that Lockon’s twin brother doesn’t show up second season with an identical Dynames. And knowing Gundam, he’d show up wearing a mask and calling himself Lockoff. But still, for all the mourning we can’t forget an even more tragic event this episode; the sad loss of…
DAARYYYYLLLLLL DOOOOOOOODDGGGGGEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that Daryl has been killed, there has to be some Graham action happening soon. Or maybe some crazy twist like having Saji sign up for the Union Navy in an effort to kill Nena. Revenge is a son of a bitch. Just hoping that Graham’s new FLAG is badass, and red.

well, of course, it’s natural: blue>black>red, duh
And one thing, is Sarshes dead? you don’t really see that defining cockpit explosion picture typical of gundam deaths, so I’m guessing he’s still alive.

I wouldn’t count Ali dead until we see Setsuna carrying his severed head on a pike.

Most likely Ali isn’t dead. He is a very experienced fighter / pilot. Did you see the way he handled the Gundam? He pilotted it like nothing, and he also owned Lock on’s Gundam on his 1st use! Ali’s Gundam might be broken, but I don’t think they will kill off such a big enemy threat so easily.

Oka: point is, Lockon was on the verge of death even before the fight (he needed three weeks to recuperate), and Ali wasn’t exactly winning either, he just took the chance that LOckon wasn’t noticing. And the explosive is controversial also.
But he’s a damn good pilot, and as you said, he’s unlikely dead. I just hope he is

I was watching this on the bus on my ipod on my way home. And I was so worried he would die so I ran all the way home just to find out if he died in the next episode. LOL

I spoiled myself on his death…however that did not stop how epic it was. I was worried his small flashback wouldn’t really affect me….but it did (I was thinking “that was one happy family”)
So good job Lockon….you were cool even in death.
