I finish Legend of the Galactic Heroes with foppery and whim and manly tears.
There there. Of course it’s hard for me to sympathize because I have only twice cried when watching anime (Shigofumi and the 3rd Kara no Kyoukai movie…though the latter makes you cry on the inside in general).

I felt both sad and happy when the whole thing ended.
Now, have you thought about the Gaiden OVAs?
I haven’t seen any of them myself, but I hear they are pretty good.
