More Realta Nua Goodies
For those of you who don’t visit TM’s website everyday, like a certain fanboy, they’ve been releasing a lot of new fan images to celebrate Realta Nua’s release, which I’d thought I’d share. This first set was used to countdown to Realta Nua’s release, with a new image appearing everyday (notice the lolicious Rin and “so moe I’m gonna die” Sakura).
They’re all really good I think. These other three images go with the new synopsises of each scenario: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven’s Feel. I’ve included the wallpaper size for the one’s I have.
As you can see, two of these images are made of FUKKEN WIN AND EPIC while the other just fails. That’s the ugliest Saber and Shirou I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe TM would bother putting something that bad on their site. The awesome UBW and HF images make up for it, though. I have more art from the artist who did the HF image. Great work. Well, that should be the end of my Realta Nua posts, unless something amazing comes up. Or I can’t think of anything to post for another day.
Realta Nua Hits the Streets
…Sort of.
While the official release date for Realta Nua is supposed to be the nineteenth, early editions are already showing up online. Another one of TM’s crazy typo’s appears in the manual with Saber called Saver. This typo has shown up before, but wouldn’t someone of picked it up by now? How hard is it for TM to ask some random white guy on the street how to spell? Oh well, Rancer and Sader are funnier anyways. Here’s the Akiba Blog post with more images. Damn, I really want that Tiger/Illya game for the PSP.
And the new OP is still made of mediocrity and fail. The full single, Ougon no Kagayaki, came out today and I gave it a listen, but I still didn’t find it that great. Kind of odd for a song composed by NUMBER 201. Then again, the only songs from them I really enjoyed were on the Fate/another remix album. THIS ILLUSION, and its many remixes, was such a great song. It embodied FSN in my eyes, or at least the earlier mysterious parts instead of the later epic parts. It doesn’t help either that these are the same scenes we’ve seen animated before. The only new one was Archer using Rho Ais. At least add in some Dark Saber or True Assassin. Of course, this is probably the only bad aspect of Realta Nua. Can’t wait to see all the new CG’s and expanded scenario’s.
Some Recent Purchases
Usually I buy my manga and anime goods here and there instead of bulk, but recently Rightstuf had some deals I couldn’t ignore and I ended buying some manga and games I’ve been meaning to get for a while. Actually only took a week in shipping, which is pretty surprising to me, seeing as how it took them TWO MONTHS to ship my Giant Robo boxset. I really need to review that soon.
So there’s most of what I got, sans Phantom of Inferno because that wasn’t in stock. Hopefully I won’t have to wait two months for it.
Tsukihime V. 1-3: I’ve been meaning to get these ever since I played Tsukihime, but never quite got around to it. My local Barnes&Noble didn’t have them, so I just ended up pushing the purchase off even more. They’re pretty nice, with only the first volume suffering from some weak binding and printing issues. The stories great so far, following the game almost perfectly. The Nero Chaos vs. Nanaya Shiki fight was one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in manga. Probably will review them this weekend.
Loveless V.3: Because there’s no way in hell I would feel comfortable buying this in a store. Damn homoerotic covers.
Scrapped Princess V.2: Another excellent series my Barnes&Noble won’t carry.
Eternal Alice Rondo V.2: See above.
Ever17: For being a visual novel fanatic I have never played any of Hirameki’s games, so this is a first for me. This is supposed to be the best one out there, so I’ll see out it goes. But look at this:
This game has four discs! How the hell long is this thing? It took me two months to finish Tsukihime, and this one has two main characters. I have a feeling I’ll be playing this for a while. They really could of made the first case’s cover different. So if you don’t hear from me for a week assume Ever17 is so good that I’ve become addicted to it.
P.S. Code Geass OST 2 is all remixs, and not particularly good ones at that. Kind of dissapointing really.
Greatest Haruhi Pic Evar
Now, I’m not a Harutard or anything like that, but even I have to admit that that’s one of the most awesome things I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen many awesome things in my time). It’s all great, from Haruhi’s punk outfit and taut stomach, to Yuki looking ready to rock in that weird space jacket and miniskirt, Mikuru looking all sexy in pink and fishnet stockings, and even Tsuruya just letting her hair blow in the wind. There’s even Ryouko in there. It’s all undeniably sexy and awesome. Except for Itsuki, of course, who looks to be staring up Mikuru’s skirt, but that can’t be right. And I don’t know why Kyon seems to be cosplaying as Iori from King of Fighters. I have no idea what songs are on this, but I’m going to hazard a guess at Hare Hare Yukai and Welcome to the UNKNOWN. This is also apparently a vinyl cover, which while awesome in a retro way, really shows how massive the merchandising of Haruhi is. I’m getting really excited for that second season now…
Halloween Treats
Celebrating Halloween the otaku way! All images thumbnails cause I thought resizing would ruin ones like these. And yes most of them were gotten from Danbooru.
ARIA Desktop Fun
This should be of interest to all those rabid ARIA fanboys and/or Impz. On Tokyo toshokan today I found this torrent of a bunch of ARIA desktop accesories and fanboy junk someone in Japan put together. And man there’s a lot of cool stuff here.
- Bunch of wallpapers and backgrounds, sadly only official ones though.
- Official character sketches
- Hundreds of voice clips for all the characters.
- Some fanmade video that gives a tour of Neo-Venezia. Of course useless to me for my lack of moonspeak.
- Bunch of icons and cursors to customize with, and a handy program to make it simple.
But you Know what I like best? There’s a bunch of clocks, one for each character. It’s weird and cool at the same time. I don’t think I could use this stuff all the time, but it’s nice to know I have it around. Torrents still on tosho if you want it. Just to note it’s an iso file so you’ll need something like daemon tools to mount it. Now see my totally ARIA’d out desktop.
