Ah, Thanksgiving, that most American of holidays of self-indulgent excess whose only purpose is to give us another reason to stuff ourselves with meat. Or the short prelude to that even better holiday, Christmas. Or that day to spend catching up on all that anime. Whatever the pastime I hope everyone enjoys today. I know I will.

Sadly I don’t have as many images as last year, Danbooru (god rest its soul) having died in the interim. But I think Yoko’s and Darry’s bountiful ASSets are worth as much as any number of holiday-themed fanart, right? Of course I am. Now go out and enjoy the one day people won’t make fun of you for wearing weird costumes, but will actually love you for it. Or you can celebrate this holiday the way otaku celebrate all holidays: watching anime next to our life-size body pillows.

Ahoy, maties. Once again Talk Like a Pirate Day has snucked up on me like a storm in the Atlantic and has left me bereft of any piratey fun. Yarr, but that be how the rum spoils. As it be tradition in these waters, I will now post pictures of various pirate booty (if you know what I mean) drawn by that favorite shipmate and eroge artist of mine Utility Pole Spirit, who’s actual name I have completely forgotten. Enjoy my fellow seadogs, until my ship sails into the waters of Bombay again and we can all enjoy a good many bottles of rum. Now, how about that booty?

One Year F**k Yeah!

It was exactly a year ago today that I wrote my first posts for this blog; this very small corner of the internet, and here I am 357 posts, 993 comments, and 153, 228 visits later. Frankly, I’m surprised I’ve even lasted a year. There were, and still are, plenty of reasons for me to quit, but I enjoy the sense of pride I get from posting my own blog, the community interaction, etc. I’ve had my ups and downs, seen the times change; but I’ve tried to keep things the same since I began.

One of those things I kept the same was the layout, which I’ve obviously now changed. I was getting tired of the old style and wanted one a bit lighter in colors. I think everything is working correctly. The only problem is that the posts width is smaller, so all my past images look slightly pixelated, but I like this layout enough to overlook it. Though, if anyone knows a way to resize a bunch of images without having to reupload them one by one, feel free to tell me.

Finally, I’d like to thank all the readers and commenters who have given me the will to continue on with this thing. A lot of gratitude from me for even taking a look at my writings. I hoped you enjoyed most of them. Now that I have a year under my belt, I would like to ask what people think of what I do. How could my writing be changed? Should I cover some things more than others? What do you want me to write about next? After all, without the readers I’d surely be nowhere. Here’s to another great year in the blogosphere. (and there really is no extravaganza, unless I decide to recap how awesome I think my Demonbane posts were.)

Visual Novels.net, that excellent visual novel news site I write for from time to time, is looking for some new members. We’re looking for anyone who loves visual novels and would like to write a bit about them. Anything goes. News from your favorite company, new translations coming out, or review that new game you played. Any other ideas are also welcomed. Mutio, our head staff guy, can be contacted at visual.novels@gmail.net for anyone interested. It would hardly have to be a full time commitment and you could just write when you want on what you want. Hope some of you seriously consider it.

Tre Donne Crudeli comes out today and I won’t be able to view the CG’s for a week. woohoo!

Just a notice, I’ll be heading out on vacation starting friday and be gone till perhaps next friday at the latest. Heading down to Charleston, South Carolina. Visiting family, doing some R&R, etc. I’ll probably have internet access, but not enough time to really watch anything. I’ll at least be able to keep track of comments. Only bad thing is I’ll be missing both Gurren-Lagann 18 and the season finale of Code Geass. Sad twist of fate that is.
