Yeah, She’s Lost It
Told you Miyako was the crazy one. Or, knowing ef, maybe that should be craziest? I really liked how every message she sent was spelled out on screen until everything was just black. A great way to illustrate the unraveling of her mind. The Renji angst was annoying, though. He just has to freak out as soon as a girl wants to kiss him. The whole relationship is messed up anyways. Personally, I blame Renji’s mom. That’s not parenting, just plain sexual harassment.

I don’t think he freaked out because she wanted to kiss him…moreso that the EXACT same thing happened over and over AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Did you see his notebook regarding Chihiro’s ideas about the ending? He marked off each time she picked Idea 1 or Idea 2. There must have been over a hundred marks there.
That means he relived the same moment over a hundred times.
That…might get to a person, eventually.
