LOL IRONY.
Man, there are some really slutty girls at Ashford. Glad no one seems to have a problem with that.
YES!!
Lelouch doesn’t roll that way, ladies.
YES!!! in a completely non-fanservicey way. Clearly Code Geass has jumped the shark. It really has no idea where it’s going and is just using fanservice to keep the viewer’s interest, which does actually work. As long as the train wreck is entertaining who says we won’t watch it? With Orange-kun back maybe will get more action fanservice to balance out all the flesh, but in reality we’ll probably just get more LOL MELODRAMA, which can be entertaining in its own way.

Well…did you expect something else from an episode called “LOVE ATTACK”, showing FABULOUS jumps and ridiculous ass-hats in its own preview? My expectations were very low and the episode pretty much fell within them.
And while I don’t want to bore you with a rant or excessive nitpicking, I have to diaagree somewhat. I think there’s a decent chance the show is still going somewhere, even if it uses fanservice all the way and takes detours every so often. Which can be happily mocked, of course.
But as I said, don’t want to make a huge deal out of this, so I guess all’s fine as long as we all have fun, even if for different reasons.

Yeah, I am mocking Code Geass. I’m sure this show will go somewhere, but I have a feeling it will be different and something none of us is expecting. I love to watch this show, but that’s because it’s already lowered my expectations for me. I will say a fanservice comedy episode is better than any of the poorly thought out battle episodes we have been getting this season.

Heh, I guess that depends on each person’s mood.
Btw, I thought the recent Chinese Federation arc was the worst in that regard. Bad pacing and execution, using pretty unexciting mecha battles with little to no strategy (even by CG’s standards, which aren’t LOGH’s or anything) just to stall for time…probably because of the need to jump right back to Ashford at the end of Turn 11.

Yeah, my disappointment with this season is that there’s already such a good conflict between Lelouch and Britannian and all of these side conflicts just detract from that. The only lasting consequence of the Chinese arc is Kallen getting kidnapped. I’d rather see Code Geass focus on its one good story than drag itself down with too much.
