This is the trailer for the new Mobile Suit Gundam series Gundam 00, pronounced double O, that was aired at the end of Toward the Terra. While I’m not that big of a gundam fan, I’m always excited about a new mecha anime to watch. What’s known so far is that it’s set in A.D. 2307, so no CE or UC. There are four gundam pilots, one of which might be a girl. We can’t figure that one out yet. And there’s the faction Solestal Beings, a private militia group who exists to wipe out wars. Sounds like Relena Peacecraft from Gundam Wing, or kind of like Dancouga Nova. What little of the mecha designs seen look good to me. I like their more stream-lined style. And as long as the character designer isn’t the one from Gundam Seed, who cares what they look like. It’s not known who the director is, but it’s rumored to the be the guy who directed Fullmetal Alchemist, which would be great. Look for this when it premieres in October. I guess it’ll be airing side by side with Code Geass then. Awesome.
