Saigar Update: Group C Round 2
Maebara Keiichi of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (298) beats Huang of Darker than Black (107) and Masa of Seto no Hanayome (177). Really? After all this time and two saigars I still have no idea what makes people think Keiichi is GAR at all. Maybe it’s cause I found Higurashi boring and the constant dying a stupid gimmick.
Michishio Nagasumi of Seto no Hanayome (237) defeats Allelujah Haptism of Gundam 00 (127) and Furukawa Akio of Clannad (173). Akio is a really cool dad, but not GAR enough to get past the first round of this tournament I guess. And, yes, I still need to watch Seto no Hanayome to figure out what’s so GAR about it.
For Group D it’s Lord Genome vs. Anisawa Meito vs. Hei. As GAR as I know Lord Genome is, I’m really hoping for Anisawa Meito aka. Animate Tenchou here. Greatest hot-blooded store clerk evar. He’s voiced by Domon Kasshu for crying out loud! There’s also Firo Prochainezo vs. Kamina vs. Cornelia li Britannia. Is this really a contest here?
I’m looking ahead to see which would be the more interesting matchup against Kamina, and that’s where I support Anisawa Meito. Sure we’ve got two equally qualified badasses also in the running, but I’d love to see a contest for the more impassioned and hotblooded public speaker.

Too bad..
Nagasumi is..well..an ok character..
But not a GAR one..

For a guy who can suplex a full-grown shark, catch bullets with his bare hands, faces off with the Yakuza on a daily basis, etc…
I dare say Nagasumi qualifies for GAR-ness.
