Saigar Update: Group D Round 2
Manly spiral chest hair is manly.
Looks like it’s Gurren-Lagann day for Saigar.
Lord Genome (411) crushes Anisawa Meito of Lucky Star (163) and Hei of Darker than Black (189). Lord Genome isn’t a bad win by any imagination, but I still would of like to have seen Anisawa Meito advance. Hot blood like that doesn’t deserve to lost. Maybe people will realize his awesomeness when Kyoani finally makes that Animate Tenchou TV series. Yes, I’m just deluding myself now.
Kamina (586) predictably beats Firo Prochainezo of Baccanno (92) and Cornelia li Britannia of Code Geass (482). Cornelia has a very high score here, however, much higher than I would of imagined. Either a lot of people wanted to spite the Gurren-Lagann fans or a lot of people just love Cornelia’s tsundereness. You can’t beat Kamina, though. He’s the second coming of GAR. Or maybe if Archer is the God of GAR Kamina is the patron saint of GAR? Now I just feel like I’m grasping at religious metaphors.
For Group E it’s Kittan vs. Lunar’s Papa vs. Jonathan Joestar and Akasaka Mamoru vs. Viral vs. Giovanni. Looks like we may just have Gurren-Lagann day V.2 here, though I wouldn’t count Giovanni out. Don’t underestimate the power of /a/ memes.
