The first of many predictions that shall be proven wrong.

Dio Brando (252) steamrolls over Kenshiro (245) and Yoko (213). Actually, Kenshiro put up a pretty good fight there, but a lot of people just really love Dio. The Emperor of Britannia (514) absolutely crushed Aihara Kazuki (32) and Motsu (70). Little surprise there.

Moving onto round 2, first we got Hosaka of Minami-ke vs. Galatea of Claymore vs. Teresa, also of Claymore. It’s hard to decide between Teresa and Galatea, seeing as how they’re both such badass woman, but I’m leaning towards Galatea here, mainly based on how badass she is in the recent manga chapters. On the other side we got Itou Kaiji of Kaiji vs. Gen Fudo of Aquarion OVA vs. Boota of Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. Kaiji isn’t as GAR as last year’s Akagi, cries way too much, so I’m unsure how far he will get here. Or maybe Boota’s more deserving since he uses pure GAR energy to evolve into a naked furry shota. That has to count for something.

Yes, the much anticipated and berated competition to discover the manliest man/woman/dango in anime begins today with two exciting matches. Round 1 features Dio Brando of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood vs. Kenshiro of New Fist of the North Star vs. Yoko of Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. Already two heavy contenders from last year are facing off, with me predicting that Kenshiro will ultimately emerge victorious. Cause he’s, you know, Kenshiro “you’re already dead.”

The other group features Aihara Kazuki of Kimikiss Pure Rouge vs. Emperor of Britannia from Code Geass vs. Motsu from Negima!? A rather sorry round of joke characters here. The Britannian Emperor should have no problem wiping away these commoner with his mighty laugh.
